Download Alexander Scourby's reading of the KJV. Load it onto your phone. Play it on shuffle, so that the next chapter is randomly selected.

I recommend Bluetooth inside-ear headphones linked together with a cord that has control buttons. This makes walking around while listening easy.

This is the only way to understand the Bible. It was meant to be heard, not read. With immersion, one is transported to a time alien to postmodernity. There, one can absorb the ethos that prevailed when God last walked with man (which was the Iron Age).

The Bible has 1,189 chapters. Thus there are near-infinite juxtapositions. Take the attitude that learning the Bible means hearing all of them. You will die first.

What is the Holy Spirit?

These things I have spoken to you while being present with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
— Jesus Christ, John 14 KJV

The Holy Spirit reminds us what God has already said. That is the Helper's primary function, not performing miracles.

If you want to hear the Holy Spirit, hear the Word. If you won't even bother to hear what God has already said, why do you ask to hear something new?

Need guidance? In the Old Testament, they cast lots. Now, the shuffle speaks.
